30 Years Parked (04.09.2010 05:44h): 1958 Aston Martin DB2/4

This 1958 Aston Martin drophead has been sitting for 30 years, but amazingly the ownership record is continuous back to new. Usually cars in this sort of condition have a more mysterious past resulting in them being parked or lost altogether. Not so with this car, as it is apparently the current consignor that parked it only a few years after buying it in 1974. It was originally titled to David Brown Industries Ltd, and it is suspected to have belonged to Mr. Brown’s wife. Find it here from Barons Auctions in the UK, who themselves estimate a 80,000-100,000 GBP ... [Link] [Cache]

bringatrailer (04.09.2010 05:36h): 1956 Ford V8 Sedan

This 1956 Ford sure looks nice for the asking price. Keep the wide whites but swap the Centerlines for chrome smoothies and the exterior would be perfect. The interior is plenty nice and with some understated vintage accessories the small block is a keeper as well. Find it here on eBay in Mandan, North Dakota for $10,500 obo with several offers already made. [Link] [Cache]

bringatrailer (04.09.2010 05:13h): 1959 Volvo PV544

This 1959 Volvo PV544 is a West Coast transplant with a nice aged stock appearance. It runs well and has a couple of cosmetic issues that hardly detract. A 51-year-old Volvo body this dry must be a rare sight in New England. Find this one here on eBay in Connecticut with no reserve and a bid under $6k. [Link] [Cache]

BaT Exclusive (03.09.2010 06:50h): 1957 AC Aceca Project

This 1957 AC Aceca #AEX756 project has been sitting for over 10 years and the seller now wishes to move it along. He formerly raced AC Ace BEX1004 in the early days of the Monterey Historics, and purchased this car with no drivetrain and the intent to do a full restoration. Though it originally would have come with a 2.0L AC engine 100 D2 #1077 , the seller sourced a Bristol engine and transmission that was rebuilt 10 years ago. The whole project is available in Yreka, California for $36k. Contact us at mail@bringatrailer.com if you are interested. The aluminum ... [Link] [Cache]

This 1969 Fiat 124 Spider is in very nice original condition after being pulled from a heated garage where it was parked since 1984. This car is a true survivor and though in need of paint the body is in remarkable condition with virtually no rust. The early 124’s are the ones to have with small bumpers, round side markers, and the sweet 1438 twin-cam. The seller rebuilt all the brakes, added a new master cylinder, and completely rebuilt the Weber carb, so the car now runs very well though it does smoke a little. It is available in Portland, ... Never Seen One (02.09.2010 03:48h): 1957 Almquist Sabre

When we think of early fiberglass specials we don’t usually draw the name Almquist, but their early advertising claims that they were the America’s largest custom body maker in 1956. This 1957 car is a total project, but has some interesting lines and a Henry J frame hidden beneath all the grime. If it stays cheap it could be an interesting project. Find it here on eBay in Port Monmouth, New Jersey. Special thanks to BaT reader Doreen D. for the tip! The customized lines make it difficult to tell which of the Almquist models this one started life as. ... [Link] [Cache]

This 1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone is a thoroughly developed track car that combines the best of both vintage and modern technology to get the job done. It really stands out in the sea of Shelby mustangs at the vintage Ford events, and it maintains the right vintage appeal while performing far beyond 1960’s levels thanks to 13″ Baer brakes, subframe connectors, and TCP coil-over front suspension. It is now available in Sacramento, California for $25k. Contact us at mail@bringatrailer.com if you are interested. DTM For Your Commute (31.08.2010 04:07h): 1988 BMW M3

This 1988 BMW M3 has been given a top-to-bottom DTM makeover in the classic M-stripe scheme over white. It is about the closest street replica of the legendary factory team cars that we have seen in North America. The car and seller are very well known in BMW Forum circles, and we suspect that the sale is only offered as a means to start another heavily documented ground-up build on another car. Find it here on eBay in Maplewood, New Jersey. Special thanks to BaT reader Justin R. for this submission! The body was totally disassembled and then sprayed white ... [Link] [Cache]
